Will the Indianapolis Colts ever win a game without Peyton Manning? They probably will, but the team they face is going to have to play like garbage for the Colts to win. With the win the Cincinnati Bengals with the league’s top ranked defense move to 4-2 and are a half game behind Baltimore in the AFC North.
Andy Dalton and the rest of the Bengals jumped out to a 20-7 lead, and looked like they were going to cruise to a victory, but the Colts attempted a comeback, that to no surprise failed. The Colts had tightened the game up at 20-17, with a chance to tie on a 52 yard field goal try by Adam Vinatieri. Unfortunately for the Colts, Nate Clements came around the end and blocked the kick. Indianapolis was able to stop the Bengals offense and set up another attempt to tie or win.
Painter hit Pierre Garcon who was pushing for extra yards, but was stripped of the ball and the Bengals recovered ending the game and sent the Colts packing at 0-6.
The Colts get the opportunity to win next week, against an angry Saints team that just came off a bad loss to the Bucs. The Colts will win this season, it just won’t happen next week.
